Steve & Missy Crowder
Lead Pastors
Steve and Missy Crowder met in 1996 at Applied Life Christian College in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and were married in April of 1998. After finishing college, they moved to Russellville, Arkansas, where they served as Youth, College, and Associate Pastors. They have been in the ministry together for twelve years.
Following the direction of God, they incorporated High Way Ministries International in December of 2006 and moved to Boulder, Colorado, the following July. They have three beautiful children: Lance, Derek, and Amber. The Crowders desire nothing more than to be used by God to strengthen the Body of Christ and reach into a dark world with the truth of his love.

Travis Melton
Community Pastor
After spending time in collegian ministry on the campus of Eastern New Mexico University and traveling around the world through missions, Travis realized his passion for the global Church was expanding and decided to move to Boulder in January of 2007. Although he is passionate about skiing, recycling and climbing, Travis’s greatest desire is to let his life be an example of Christ’s love for the world, and to impart to others the same desire. Travis has found his home at High Way through helping others to pursue God’s call on their life and their role within the body of Christ.
Travis is a cool dude, come to High Way to meet him!

Melinda Stokes
Worship & Creative Arts Pastor
Mel felt called into the ministry in her teen years, during which she was involved in the worship team at her church. She spent three years in Australia at Bible College, where she discovered her passion for the global Church and Thai food. She is currently a student at Colorado Christian University and is majoring in Global Studies. She has a passion to see people genuinely connect with their Creator and to see restoration and justice brought forth in their lives.

Becki Logsdon
Bookkeeper
A graduate of Metropolitan State College of Denver, Becki has been in accounting-related fields for nearly 15 years. Back in Black Bookkeeping was launched in January 2008 as a means to be a mom to her 3 children while still keeping food on the table! She is mom to twins Claire and Jacob and also to Erin. She is a native of Colorado and loves all that this beautiful state has to offer. Becki is actively involved in her children’s school PTO and classrooms as well as her church.

Jared Cole
IT Director / Music Director
Jared was born on a stormy summer's eve in 1982 (the best year ever), and throughout his childhood, he moved around a lot with his family. When he was thirteen, he became interested in thinking machines (computers), web design, and other things that are slightly geeky and awesome. At the age of fifteen, Jared started playing the electric git fiddle (or guitar, if you will) and started getting involved with worship music. He has been involved in the creative arts areas of many ministries throughout his lifetime.
In 2008, following the call of God, he moved to Colorado to be a part of launching High Way Community in Boulder, where he serves on the creative arts team as a web designer/web programmer/IT director (the geek stuff) as well as serving on the worship team as the Music Director, playing lead guitar, and occasionally the synthesizer. Jared is excited about seeing what God has in store for him and the Community of Boulder, CO!

Rich and Bryana Gardunia
Welcome Team Directors
The Gardunias moved from Boise to Boulder in August, 2010. They share a love for people and place a high value on helping them feel accepted and important. They enjoy opening their home to others causing them to feel a part of their family. After all, as Galatians 5:14 states, "the whole of the law can be summed up in this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself,'" and who doesn't want to feel like they belong?
Rich runs his own company manufacturing outdoor clothing and gear. Bryana is a grad student at CU Boulder studying Hispanic Linguistics. She also teaches Spanish at the university. They have an amazing daughter, Eliana, and the three of them enjoy rock climbing and cooking (and, of course, eating) food together.

Chad Hoffman
Born To Serve and Missions Director
Chad joined the High Way family in the fall of 2008 and became a part of the leadership team in 2009. His ministry and leadership gifts have been shaped by his training and service as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. He has had educational and outreach experiences with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and Get the Word Out! (a Bible training ministry). He enjoys soccer, motorcycles, and all things China. His passion is to see each person take their unique place in the Body of Christ. As the Born to Serve Director at HWC, he coordinates the volunteers and gets to walk with them through the process of discovering, developing and engaging their talents and spiritual gifts.

Joanna Hoffman
Administrative and Missions Director
Joanna brings a variety of ministry experiences to her role at High Way. Her passion for missional living, evangelism and Bible teaching has taken her around the world on many short-term and long-term trips. Her other ministry passion, business administration, led her to pursue a Master's in Nonprofit Management from Regis University. Joanna is currently employed as a nonprofit consultant for churches and ministries in the Boulder area. Near the end of 2010, Joanna began serving as High Way's Administrative Director. Her vision for business administration is to engage in complete transparency and accountability, seeking to do what is right before God and before men (2 Cor 8:20,21). In 2011, Joanna is looking forward to expanding her role within High Way Community and enjoying married life with High Way's fabulous Born to Serve Director, Chad Hoffmann.

Justin Renfroe
Production Director
In 2006, Justin joined the vision of Highway Community. He currently resides in Broomfield, CO, working as a speech language pathologist. Each week he also runs the sound and oversees the production team for High Way’s Sunday gatherings. In his spare time, Justin enjoys being outdoors, listening to music, and traveling. He has a vision not only to bring a passionate, life-giving church to Boulder, but also to the world. In his day-to-day life, he is consumed with a hunger and need to pursue a more personal and intimate relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Justin lives by the following quote: “Live life as though it were impossible to fail.” This maxim is backed by his favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13: “I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Rachel Strobel
HWC Liasion to the Boulder Valley
Rachel, a Boulder native and student at CU, rediscovered her passion and love for others in college. She loves Boulder and seeks to inspire a shared vision in its inhabitants to manifest Christ’s love in their city and beyond. “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoner.” Isaiah 61:1 NIV

Andrea Brandau
Production Director
Andrea moved to Boulder in 2001 to pursue a career in nursing. During her time in school, God placed in Andrea’s heart a love for the city of Boulder and a desire to serve the community and His church. In addition to serving as High Way’s Production Director, she is also working as a nurse in the Boulder area.

Olivia Hart
Creative Design Director
Ever since Olivia was a young girl, she remembers being creative and letting her imagination soar. For Christmas and birthdays she would ask only for more and more art supplies. She loves to draw, paint, sculpt, sew, build... anything that requires a vision and an execution to create something new. Olivia followed her passion for design in college and graduated with a bachelor's in Interior Design. Olivia is so pleased to be using her talents within High Way and is excited to see what God has in store for this community.

Brian Inderwies
Outreach Director
Brian heard a calling to care for the marginalized during his college years. This was due in part to what he learned in the classroom in social-justice courses and the deep-rooted social inequality he'd seen on the streets on Baltimore.
The vision for outreach at HWC is huge, and it involves bringing Christ's light to the darkest alleys and forlorn people of this city, by selflessly giving, faithfully and reliably serving, and loving this town through communion with its people.
Brian's married to his best friend. He's also an East Coast expat, an outdoors junkie, and a technologist (ok, let's just call a spade a geek) who arrived in tech via a detour through med school. I've been in the missions field several times (most recently Nepal) and can't wait to go back. I tweet and do the social media thing, but would rather meet you in real life.
